Google Earth Conspiracy?
Probably everyone has heard of Google Earth by now. Yesterday they made huge data update with more higher resolution satellite/aerial photos yesterday. So the first thing I checked was my place here in Auckland, New Zealand. So far New Zealand had only a few high resolution areas and Auckland only on the North Shore. Now if you click on the image to the left you can see where I live. It’s probably not hard to see that Google has updated all the areas around my place, except beautiful Balmoral, Auckland. Is it a conspiracy? Or are they trying to hide the top secret research lab down the road? Who knows.
i dont know if they are trying to hide it or what but if you look for area 51 its there i dont know. I have found two mysterious strips thoug, one is a black line in the middle of green land, and the other was either south of hawaii or south of easter island.

Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
Camron there is a software called autostitch that will compile a batch of images into a panorama.
OK, here’s a conspiracy for you. About six months ago i found and bookmarked what i liked to call a terrorist camp in the middle of the desert in saudi arabia. I found it by following tyre tracks for miles through the dunes. Well about a month ago i tried to show someone my “terrorist camp” and whenever i got within range or anywhere too close google earth would crash! It had been fine every time before but now i’m not allowed to go near this area. There is also a large blacked out area to the south west of this mark. Try going to this location and let me know what happens for you. 48 19 24.59E, 20 08 08.54N cut and paste these co-ordinates into the search window.

I went to it on google maps on my phone because it is not updated and I saw it and it was in the middle of nowhere basically
