German bread in Auckland
A few days ago I realised that more and more people are finding my website through Google in search for “german bakery auckland”. If you type this phrase in Google I’m listed on rank 5 and 6. I guess the reason is the article I posted about this German bakery here in Auckland. Those visitors would’ve probably expected to find the details of the bakery. For the records and all the Aucklanders who want to indulge in good German bread here is the address:
Diehl’s Bakery – Best German Breads in Town!
5/65 Hillside Road, Glenfield, Auckland
Opening hours:
Wed – Fri: 7.00am – 2.00pm
Sat: 7.00am – 1.00pm
Phone: 0-9-443 7992

[...] We found it thanks to alex here [...]

thank you so much for the address!
I’ve been to the Glenfield bakery many times.
As we now live in west auckland, i’d like to find a german bakery south of the north shore
Suggestions?
why is the bread so crap in NZ?
why are the supermarkets so crap in NZ?
What are u doing in NZ if the bread is so “crap” and the supermarkets are so “crap”?
Complain back home or move to Mallorca.
…or buy your flour online and make your own bread
thanks for the address alex (i never had thought that i’ll miss my german bread that much). unfortunately we live a bit further in the north and diehl’s is not ‘just around the corner’ (and old german bread is not as good as fresh out of the oven
)..but we found a great website where you get everything(!) you need for homemade german bread.

i already made some really good grain-to-grain breads and a beautiful light rye bread .. i had never thought that german bread is that easy
